Petero no Souretsu Ep. 11 Final

It's supposed to be a "happy ending" for everyone.  However, we can't help wondering "So what were that bus-jacking and Nissho Frontier scamming organization all about?"  Many things need more explanations.

This episode focuses on individuals rather than incidents.  It's the aftermath of all the incidents that took place before.

(spoiler)

Because of the 2nd bus-jacking incident, the police now knows about the compensation money the former-hostages received.  Each hostage is called into a police station for questioning, and the money is confiscated by the police.  The hostages' lives are now different as the public got to know what happened and criticized them.  However, they feel light and relieved as they no longer have to keep a secret or own the money they do not really deserve.

One morning, Mano Kyouko comes back to the office and starts to tell the truth.  After her divorce, she was stalked by her former husband.  She even went to a lawyer about that.  That lawyer was the one who came to the office in the previous episode to look for her.  Then she found out that her former husband had been dead, and that the stalker was the lawyer.  She went to the police, but they didn't deal with her case because they didn't want to deal with lawyers.  So she kept hiding and running away.

From Ide who used to stalk Mano Kyouko, our guy Sugimura gets to know about the affair between his wife and Hashimoto, one of the secretaries of his father-in-law.  She admits she was with Hashimoto on the night she did not come home, and it was entirely her fault.

Her explanation was that 1) "she wanted to be free and do whatever she wanted" because her heart problem never allowed her to do what she wanted, and 2) she always felt bad that her husband made so much sacrifice to be with her.

Sugimura and his wife are getting a divorce.  Hashimoto tells Sugimura's wife that he got close to her to gain something.  He says he's sorry and leaves her and the company.

The master and Sugimura
Sugimura leaves his house and goes to the coffee shop near his office he frequented.  The master lets him sleep there and feeds him.  Sugimura gets to know the master's name for the first time.  A strange friendship is starting there.

Sugimura goes to his office to say goodbye to everyone.  The editor-in-chief, a former bus-jacking hostage is moving to another office.  Tejima, also a former hostage is going to be the new editor-in-chief.

After leaving the office, Mano Kyouko waits for Sugimura on a street.  Sugimura sees her, but keeps walking, ignoring her.

Sugimura goes on a trip, looking at the beautiful scenery of Japanese countryside and thinking about what had happened.

(My reaction)
Is Mano Kyouko an angel or a devil?  She's still trying to cling on to Sugimura.

Since the last scene says "to be continued", I guess we'll see Sugimura again.  We'll probably see Mano Kyouko also.
