N no Tame ni Ep.1

In the last season, we had "Petero no Souretsu" and "Kazoku Gari".  In this season, we have "N no Tame ni" (For N).  It's a suspense/mystery drama involving the death of a husband and a wife, and people around them.  It's not clear who really killed them or how those people who were at the crime scene are connected.  A retired policeman (played by Miura Tomokazu), who has known some of those people from 15 years ago, tries to solve the puzzle.

The drama is based on the novel with the same title written by Kanae Minato.  Many of her novels were turned into movies and TV dramas such as "Confession,"  "Kita no Kanaria Tachi," "The Snow White Murder Case," "Shokuzai," "Yakou Kanransha."

Natsuki (Meisa) finds out the relationship between Shu'uya and Mami.  She goes to see him to ask him why he is still worried about Mami even though her sickness is gone (thanks to Natsuki's mom).  Shu'uya tells her he can't tell her anything.

Natsuki tells Shu'uya she wants to help him, but he rejects the offer.

Kentaro gets frustrated as Natsuki is very sympathetic to Shu'uya.  He asks her to forget about the ring he was going to give her.  Natsuki agrees.

Seijo Ep.7 Final

The final episode shows Motoko as a woman who tried the best she could to overcome her difficult living situations.  She struggled hard throughout her life not to be used by men and improve herself to be "Seijo", a sacred woman.  Perhaps, sacredness and evilness aren't the total opposites.  It all depends how people see and judge a certain phenomenon.

New Fall J-Drama: Yu'ube no Curry, Asu no Pan Ep.1

Although people may get the idea that this is a comedy, it is not that funny.  It gives us serious look at our lives such as feeling sad after being left behind by a loved one, having difficulties smiling, wanting not to go forward, etc.  It has funny moments, too.  Very nice combination of sad and funny moments.  This drama has a nice atmosphere.

Our main lady, Tetsuko (played by Naka Ri'isa) is a widow.  Her husband, Kazuki (played by Hoshino Gen) died 7 years ago.  She lives with Kazuki's father, Rentarou (played by Kaga Takeshi).  People think it's strange that Tetsuko still lives with him.  Tetsuko knows that, but she wonders,

"Everybody tells me to go forward.  But is it wrong to remain in the same place?  I don't want to go forward yet."
