Petero no Souretsu Ep.10

The end is near.  The final episode is next week.  Perhaps this episode's incident is just a prelude to what is to come; something really big.

It's the second bus-jacking.  One of the first bus-jacking hostages, Sakamoto is the bus-jacker, and Mano Kyouko, the mysterious woman who may be a big liar is the hostage this time.  Are they both evil?   Will they be like Petero who committed a big sin, but regretted for what he has done, reformed himself and became a saint?

(spoiler)

Sakamoto, the 2nd bus-jacker
Sakamoto, the young man high-jacks a bus just like the first bus-jacking.  It's the same bus on the same route, the same location for the starting of the bus-jacking, the same place the bus parks, and the same instruction to the hostage (to give her cellphone to the bus-jacker).

Mano Kyouko, the hostage
When Sakamoto asks his hostage what her name was, she answers "Sugimura Naoko".  Why does she lie?  Is she a pathological liar?

Sakamoto wanted to multiply the money he received from the first bus-jacking.  He invested in a pyramid marketing scheme, and even tried to recruit his friend and former-colleague.  But the marketing organization has suddenly disappeared.  He holds a big grudge against scammers.

Sakamoto's demand to the police was to bring in Mikuriya, the guy who helped the first bus-jacker, Hada Mitsuaki, in committing fraud, deceiving many people to steal money, and setting up Nisshou Frontier, a scam organization.

As the only person who may know the whereabouts of Mikuriya, the police contacts our guy, Sugimura for help.  Our guy borrows a car from the owner of the coffee shop next to the office he works, and the owner and Sugimura goes to Gunma Prefecture to see Hayakawa Tae who knew Hada since they were kids.

Hayakawa Tae, speaking the truth
Although she used to say she didn't know where Mikuriya was, she finally spoke out the truth this time.  Hada killed Mikuriya as a part of cleaning up the bad deeds they did together.

Hayakawa Tae tells Sugimura that Mikuriya's body is probably buried near Hada's family grave.  Sugimura, the coffee shop owner and Hayakawa Tae's son go to the grave and find Mikuriya's skeleton.

Driver and Tanaka
The high-jacked bus is surrounded by police and the media.  Two of the former hostages, the driver and Tanaka, a factory owner come to the scene as they know Sakamoto.  They call Sakamoto on their cells, and Tanaka tells him that he will go to jail for this, but when he gets out, he will hire him in his factory.

Sugimura also calls Sakamoto to tell him about Mikuriya's death.  When Sakamoto was telling Sugimura that he's going to surrender to police, the police force their way onto the bus and capture Sakamoto.  The second bus-jaking has ended.

Lawyer and Editor-in-chief
Before the second bus-jacking became a big news, a lawyer comes to see Mano Kyouko at her office.  He wears a lawyer's badge and gives his business card to the editor-in-chief.  He tells the chief that Mano Kyouko is a big liar/scammer and she owes him money.  People in the office believe his words and give him Mano's new address.

Sugimura goes to a hospital to see Mano Kyouko.  When she sees him, she gets out of her bed, walks to him and embrace him.  He also starts to hold her.

Let's wait for one week to see what all these incidents lead to.
