Petero no Souretsu Ep.3

Here's another drama that is intriguing and mysterious.  We see things happening only on the surface, and don't know what those happenings are all about.  Is this a game somebody is playing in order to hurt some individuals?  Are all the passengers involved in this game or did they "just" happen to be on that bus?

The bus-jacker died not because he was shot by the police, but because he killed himself.   Then, a few days after the incident, each passenger/hostage receives a package.  Although it was not the amount the bus-jacker promised, the money in those packages ranged from 3 to 5 million Yen.

All the passengers except the old woman who is taking care of her mother in a nursing home, and the editor-in-chief who had a mental break-down get together to discuss what to do with the money.

The man who runs a small factory wants to use the money as his business is not doing well.  Others are not sure about what to do, whether to tell the truth to the police or take the money as compensation.  They decide to look more into the incident, especially the 3 people the high-jacker told the police to bring him as they were "bad people", and the person(s) who sent the packages.

Our guy played by Koizumi Koutaro and his colleague try to get in touch with those three individuals.  However, one committed suicide and is dead, another moved from his/her address long before the incident and the last person moved to unknown location soon after the incident.  Although contacting the three was impossible, it was found that the three were involved in a scamming business.

Our guy acts as a private investigator without telling his wife.  He now shares a secret with the ex-masseur-now-his-colleague.  She is mysterious and suspicious.  Suspicious for what?  We don't know.
