Seijo Ep.4

Motoko's trial has begun.  She claims she didn't kill nor she tried to kill anybody.

We still don't know Motoko is telling the truth or she's a big liar.

Haruki's big brother Katsuki (played by Aoyagi Shou) is a mysterious man.  What part is he going to play in this drama?

(spoiler)

Motoko's relationship with 3 dead men are examined one by one in the trial.  However, there's no evidence for murders.

Haruki defends her that she knew what she wanted and acted toward that.  She may be different from many women, but there's nothing wrong with that.

Haruki's boss tells him never, ever let people know the past relationship between Haruki and Motoko.

Chikura who wakes up from coma, stands on trial as a witness.  He admits that the fire started by his mistake.  He smoked a cigarette, and then fell into sleep.  His cigarette started the fire, and he had kerosine in his room.  He swears Motoko did not start the fire.

Chikura is still in love with Motoko.  He wants to divorce his wife, but the wife does not agree.  She wants him to wake up from his dream.

Izumi who is Haruki's fiance is jealous of Motoko.

In her last statement Motoko says although she didn't kill anybody, she's sorry for causing distress to some people, and if she's given a chance, she's going to live like the way her mother wanted her to live.  She's saying these in tears.

Motoko is sentenced "Not Guilty".

In a taxi on the way from the court, Motoko and Haruki hold hands.  Motoko smiles.  Haruki has a confused look.

At home, Haruki sees his brother Katsuki.  Katsuki was in the courtroom, observing Motoko's trial.  He shaved beards and had clean clothes on.  He finally got out of his room.

Katsuki tells Haruki that prosecutor's team of Motoko's trial got in touch with him.  He also tells he knows what happened between Haruki and Motoko in Haruki's room 10 years ago.

The prosecutor's team is going to appeal the court ruling.  There will be another trial at an upper court.

Chikura suddenly remembers that on the night of the fire he saw Motoko smoking a cigarette and tossing the cigarette butt onto the floor.  He tells this to Haruki, saying it was probably better that he didn't remember.
