Kodoku no Gurume Ep.5: High in cholesterol, but tastes great

Gorou-san goes to Himaka Island off the coast of Chita Peninsula in Aichi Prefecture to meet his client and to give him back his pocket watch.  The peninsula is south of Nagoya.  Himaka Island is a small island with no buses or taxis running, but draws tourists for its catches of octopus and blowfish.  There, Gorou-san's transportation was a bicycle he rented.
(continued)
On his way to meet his client, he goes to a small food shop to have grilled octopus leg on a stick.  It's only 300 Yen per stick, and the shop lady grills it while he waits.
The lady puts soy sauce on the leg right before she takes it off from the grill which gives great smell and taste.  (My mouth is watering.)

After meeting the client, he goes to a restaurant for his lunch.  He first have broiled Akasha Ebi (prawns) and grilled jumbo Asari (Japanese little-neck clams).  Just looking great!!

His next course is Shirasu (whitebait) Tempura and Tako Meshi (octopus rice set).
Gorou-san as uses salt to season this Tempura full of small fish.

The Tako Meshi set consists of Tako Meshi, Tsukudani (seaweed boiled down in soy sauce and mirin), Tokoroten (also here), and Takuan (yellow pickled Daikon) and Miso soup.  Tako Meshi looks great with black sesame seeds on top.  The soup is made from red miso for which Nagoya/Aichi Prefecture is famous for.  A great combination of food, indeed.

Octopus, prawn, and clam are high in cholesterol for which I should watch out, but they are great seafood.  I love eating those.
