Ryousuke who fell down stairs when he tried to hug Kaoruko got out of the hospital. The four friends, Kenta, Ryousuke, Akehi and Kaoruko get together at Kenta's place to have a hand-rolled sushi party to celebrate (?) the discharge of Ryousuke from the hospital. It's summer, a perfect season for fireworks.
Ryousuke also asks Akehi out for a dinner as he knows of a good restaurant. Akehi tells him she has a date on that night. Ryousuke tells her he will be waiting at the restaurant.
At the dinner, Aoki tells Akehi sorry for what he did, that he married a woman all of a sudden without telling Akehi. He asks Akehi to go out with him again since he is now divorced. Akehi doesn't answer as she has a mixed feeling about Aoki and Ryousuke. She tells Aoki goodbye for the night.
After wandering around thinking what's going on, she heads for the restaurant Ryousuke asked her to come. Although she knows he won't be there as it was late, she goes there anyway. The restaurant is closed, but Ryousuke was waiting for her outside. He hugs her in the rain and tells her he likes her. She hugs him back.
Kenta's ex-wife comes to see him and tells him that their son wants to see him. Kenta decides to take his son to an amusement park. He is nervous as he doesn't know how to deal with his son. He sends a message to Akehi that he is in an amusement park. Then Akehi joins them with her kids.
(What a drama! Despite how far Akehi's house is from the park, or how long it takes for Akehi to prepare things, they show up as if they live nearby.)
Kids become friends immediately and awkwardness Kenta was having disappears immediately.
Kenta goes home with his son with a high fever. At her home, Akehi worries about him and decides to go to his place to check on him. Her husband is away in Kyoto so she can move freely.
