Dososei Ep.9

The husband and the wife now know the affairs of their spouses, and they have no intention to let their spouses leave them.

Kenta and Akehi, Ryousuke and Kaoruko.... Will both couples end up together?  Will they really leave their spouses and kid(s) to be their loved ones?

(Spoiler)
Last week Akehi's husband kicked Akehi out from their house as he found out about the relationship between Akehi and Kenta.  Akehi went to Kaoruko's apartment.  When Kenta got to know what happened to Akehi, and was about to leave his house to see her, Akehi's husband came to him.

Akehi's husband comes into Kenta's house with his shoes on to look for his wife.  Kenta tells him she's not there, and asks him about his physical abuse.  The husband tells him it's a matter between husband and wife, that he doesn't need to tell him anything about that.  He also says that he is not going to break up with Akehi.

Kenta goes to Kaoruko's place to see Akehi.  Ryousuke is there, too.  The four friends talk about Akehi's husband's violence.  Akehi
says that it was her fault, too as she let him abuse her by keeping everything to herself and enduring his violence.  Kenta tells her she doesn't need to keep things to herself any more.

Kaoruko's cell phone rings.  It was a call from Akehi's oldest child, asking Akehi for help as the second child is sick.  Akehi runs home to take care of the sick child.

Ryousuke's wife finds out about Kaoruko, and calls her.  They meet in a coffee shop.  The wife tells Kaoruko that she will not leave him.  She says that Kaoruko and her husband have a "crush" (恋) on each other, but she and her husband are in love (愛).  She explains that a crush has an ending, but a love doesn't end.

Ryousuke receives a message from Kaoruko, asking him to come and see her immediately.  He goes to her place to find her crying hard.  Kaoruko asks him to get a divorce.

Shimizu who is Kenta's ex-wife's lover, and Kenta's former boss at work comes to see Kenta again.  He asks Kenta to come work for him in the U.S. as his company is setting up a joint venture there, focusing on Kenta's specialization.

It is not clear whether Shimizu really needs him for his work or he is trying to cut off the tie between Kenta and his former wife by sending him far away.

A few days later, Kenta goes to his former company to see Shimizu.  Kenta gives him a copy of the contract which he signed.  Shimizu tells Kenta that his divorce is about to be settled.  Kenta asks him to take good care of his former wife if they are to be married.

Then he goes to see his parents to tell them he's quitting the cleaning store.   He apologizes for quitting what he started, but his parents understand.  His mother even suggests selling the store and the land.

He, then goes to see Akehi's place to meet Akehi and her husband.  He announces he is going to take Akehi and her kids to the U.S.  The husband gets furious and hits Kenta.  Kenta tells the husband he can hit him as he likes and asks not to hit Akehi.  The husband gets more furious and tries to hit Akehi.  Kenta stops him and tells him "Don't touch Akehi!"

And Kenta's narration comes in:
"Now I can set Akehi free....  That's what I thought at that time."
