Kazoku Gari Ep.9

The end is near.  The final episode is next week.  Now we know who did the killings.

This week's key word is shampoo.  It's a special shampoo made in Italy.

Mamihara, the detective, smelled the shampoo at the crime scenes of family murder/suicide he went.  He smelled it on the art teacher after the art teacher washed his hair, using Hizaki Yu'uko, the case worker's shampoo.

The case worker's mother tells her to order the shampoo as it has not much left.  The case worker calls her colleague Yamaga Youko as she's the one who sold her the shampoo.  The call is made when the case worker was visiting termite control guy's house.  Strangely enough, the case worker hears telephone ringing in the next house.  Yamaga's house is right next to the termite control guy's.

The case worker is captured and locked up in a room/closet.  Yamaga and the termite control guy admit that they did the family hunting.  When they talk about their hunts, they use an expression, "sending them off".

Next morning, Yamaga and the termite control guy act polite to the case worker.  They even serves her breakfast cooked with organic vegetables and eggs.  They grew those vegetables.

Yamaga calls the termite control guy her "dear comrade".  She says they sent off only those people (families) at the terminal stage.  They are doing a favor to the families whose members are about to kill one another.   They are making them feel at ease and assist them in their rebirth.

The termite control guy goes to Yoshizawa Ai's house to kill termites.  He meets Ai in her room.  Ai tells him her family are termites, and asks him to kill them.

The termite control guy and Yamaga decide to send Ai's family off on that night, and show that to the case worker.

In the mean time, the art teacher and the case worker's family are worried as the case worker doesn't come home.  The art teacher begs Mamihara, the detective to look for her.  Although the detective still believes the case worker did all the killings, he promises to look for her.

Through social network connections, the art teacher finds out the case worker went to see Yamaga.  He and his former-student friend go to Yamaga's house and see a strange shrine.  They find out that Yamaga and the termite control guy live next to each other.  They also find out they did the killings and they are about to kill Ai's family.

The art teacher runs to Ai's house, but is captured.  In front of the art teacher and the case worker, the two try to send Ai's family off.

As for the detective's woman, she stabs her former husband in front of Mamihara's partner who was shot by the husband.  Just before his death, the husband tells her that when he saw her, his son and Mamihara together, he thought he wanted to have a father like Mamihara.  If he had had a father like him, he wouldn't become what he is now.  

The husband tells her and the wounded detective that she stabbed him to protect the detective.  He gives the detective evidence information on a corrupt policeman who framed Mamihara.
