Lovestore at the Corner (巷弄裡的那家書店) TWdrama

I've started watching Taiwanese dramas lately. This one, Lovestore at the Corner, is on-going.  So far 11 episodes were broadcasted.

I watched 8 episodes as ep.9 English subtitles are not available yet. I'm hoping they would not give up on the subtitle creation.

Taiwanese dramas I watched are long.  Each episode is about 1hour and 15 minute-long, and one series consists of 26 episodes or so, and unlike most k-dramas, only one episode is shown every week.  So, the stories tend to go slowly.  I like the slow pace as I don't have to concentrate on a drama so much.

I still haven't figured out this drama yet.  It's about a disappearance of a woman who just found out that her boyfriend was having a love affair with her best friend.  He, then, got into an accident, loses his memory including his girlfriend, and opens a used-bookstore.  The missing woman's younger sister started working in the bookstore with an aim to make him regain his memories.  That's the main story line, but it has various other story lines such as missing woman's best friend's guilt for the love affair, missing woman's parents' guilt, struggle of the younger sister's boyfriend to be an adult, life struggle of bookstore owner's neighbors, etc.

We don't know if the woman simply left on her own will and living somewhere or had an accident.  It is not clear her boyfriend's memory loss is real or he is just faking it.

This drama introuces many poems and quotations from books.  Which must be very difficult for translators to deal with.  However, one of the uniqueness of this drama is these poems and quotations that match the story.
